Simon Chapman began writing this book in 2016. After some 65,000 words had been written, he invited Fiona Crichton to join him in writing what remained to be done. Fiona’s 2016 PhD thesis, completed at the University of Auckland, explored psychogenic aspects of complaints about windfarm noise, so her involvement in the book was invaluable, particularly in Chapter 5.
Where the first person (I, me, my) is used in the book, it refers to Simon. The rest of the book reflects our combined efforts.
